Course Description:
In today's complex business environment, it is increasingly important for property managers to know how to address legal and risk management issues. This course will provide you with a foundation in the basic principles of law and risk management, helping you deal with everyday legal and risk issues surrounding your business. In addition to addressing leasing and conveyance, the course covers important issues on torts, contracts, employer/employee relations, property rights, and environmental law.

Stephen L. Cleary, M.B.A., J.D. is an Attorney and Counselor at Law and works at the private law firm of Cleary & Associates, Ltd. He practices in the areas of business, entity and corporate law, real estate law, estate and probate, litigation, and general practice. He is also admitted to practice law in Michigan and Wisconsin. In addition, he is an Adjunct Professor at Roosevelt University where he teaches courses in the MBA Real Estate program and he is the Lead Faculty Area Chair for Law and Ethics at the Chicagoland ground campuses of the University of Phoenix.
