Leadership

BOMA/Suburban Chicago's Education Committee recently launched the first class of a new four-part Leadership Education Series.  This series was created to bring advanced, relevant, and usable leadership topics to our membership.  In addition, this new offering also aligns with the associations new Strategic Plan that was also recently rolled out to the membership.

On January 25th, more than 40 members gathered at Continental Towers to attend and engage in this brand new educational offering. This first class of the four-part Leadership Education Series was titled,"Identify, Coach, and Become Ideal Team Players." Many students admitted that they had no idea what to expect prior to the class, but it was clear from their feedback that the class exceeded expectations.

Attendees received:

1. A new and proven philosophy on what it means to be an “Ideal Team Player.”
2. A tangible “Interview Guide” to add to your existing hiring process to ensure you are hiring the right people.
3. A tangible “Self-Evaluation Tool” that each attendee will complete to help them learn about their own strengths and weaknesses.
4. A tangible “Team Evaluation Tool” that can be used in all player/coach relationships within your organization that focuses on improving teamwork.
5. Networking and meaningful discussions with their peers and colleagues on the topics discussed.
